Blake Griffin Out For First Round Against Bucks

The Detroit Pistons will be without Blake Griffin in the first round against the Milwaukee Bucks because of a left knee injury. Yes, you read that right, the Pistons will get swept without Griffin’s help.

In the first game of the series, the Bucks beat down the Pistons 121-86 and proved to everyone that they are legit contenders. That game was fun to watch because the Bucks looked like they were playing a college team and were doing whatever they wanted. A loss like that would make me not even want to suit up for Game 2.

Even if Griffin was playing, the Bucks would still have won the series. Griffin is a great player but he wouldn’t be able to stop Antetokounmpo or Brook Lopez for the matter. What he would be able to do is give them some consistent scoring. Look at Griffin guarding Antetokounmpo on this play and see what happens.

The crazy thing about the Bucks is that they aren’t even a hundred percent right now. Malcolm Brogdon is still out to due to injury and he is one of their better players. Even without him, the Bucks are cruising. A reason for that is that they acquired George Hill earlier this year and he played well in Game 1. He is a veteran that plays great defense and can shoot. And he fits right in with the Bucks team that needs leadership.

As much as I like blowouts, this is one of the series that you can skip because the games won’t be close and the outcome is already decided. There are a lot of good series and if you can’t watch all the games, then skip this one. The highlights are better because you won’t have to see how bad the Pistons are on the court without Griffin.
